Fame was a great read. I bought into the characters right away, especially liked the details and the insights into the class tensions. I immediately was caught up in the world of the Dragonsingers. This story catches you from the start and keeps getting better. Enjoy.
The first installment of the Dragon Runes Trilogy, is appropriately titled "FAME." Author, Trista Wilde's skill with literary description draws the reader into the adventure. You will fall in love with the totally appealing characters and can learn even more about them online on the web site. Trista's work will appeal to a variety of readers. "FAME" contains many references to music of the 60's and 70's, which will delight music buffs.
I just loved Atana's book! I must admit I'm usually not a fantasy reader but this book speaks to the fairy and the warrior in me! It support the 'everything is connected' feeling from music to romance, defenders and dragons. I envy how people like Atana can "see" it all together. Thanks you for a fresh reading experience and a delightful break from my techie material.

Fame is a unique mixture of fantasy, steampunk, and modern day reality contests. It has an interesting writing style with each chapter written from one characters point of view. It creates an interesting juxtaposition of viewpoints.
It is the characters that make the book worth reading. The 3 lead characters have a nice depth and even the minor characters are well rounded. If you are looking for a little more character development and little less hack and slash in your fantasy then this is a great option. I am looking forward to the next book.
DragonSinger comes to life in the fantasy world of Cardiff. This exciting tale is greatly enhanced by the use of British rock and roll and terrific character development. This impressive debut by author Trista Wild is chock o block with interesting, colorful characters, some likeable, some unlikeable as action moves smoothly from scene to scene. Intrigue, magic, romance, death - it's all here. The plot is engrossing with surprises at every turn. Even though the author has targeted a younger reading audience, as a senior, I found this to be a fun, action-packed read. I look forward to the next in the series of this epic journey.
This is a great first novel. Trista Wilde captures a vibrant world full of mysticism and wonder... and but of course, zombies! The characters are fully fleshed and real, and you'll find yourself cheering for them or hissing at them as the book moves along at a well-paced speed. There are some wild and unexpected twists in the book as well, which you experience alongside each of the main characters. The dragons in this book don't talk or guard treasures-- which is a relief for one who has read those tropes over and over. Instead Trista Wilde's writing manages to convey their enormity and scary beauty, and true animal personalities that make the beasts all the more real.

I heard of the book through a friend from college, he was related to the author, which I thought was pretty cool. I decided to get the book and not only did I get it, I was able to have her sign the book for me. I am through the first 100 pages and all I can say is, wow. FAME is so different from your average run of the mill book. It is so engrossing and creative that it makes me wonder how I settled for some other books that I have read. This book is a must read for anyone who loves music, dragons, well pretty much everyone. Just buy it and read it. You have nothing to lose and with some luck maybe you yourself could have your own "FAME".
